Cryopreserved mouse and rat hepatocytes are available for both suspension and plated applications. Piedmont Research Center provides large lot sizes that allow our clients to conduct multiple toxicity and metabolism experiments from the same donor pool. Each lot of cells is verified to be metabolically active by ECOD testing and are delivered with clear thawing and handling instructions. Standard species include male CD-1 mouse and Sprague Dawley rat.
All hepatocyte lots are isolated from animals that have been fully tested and housed in our AAALAC accredited facility. We specialize in offering quality hepatocyctes with high yield (
5*106/vial) and viability.
Cryopreserved Mouse Hepatocytes
Cryopreserved mouse hepatocytes are isolated from male CD-1 mice. All animals have been fully tested by the supplier and housed in our AAALAC accredited facility. Animal health reports are available upon request.
Cryopreserved Rat Hepatocytes
Cryopreserved rat hepatocytes are isolated from male Sprague-Dawley rats. All animals have been fully tested by the supplier and housed in our AAALAC accredited facility. Animal health reports are available upon request.
Fresh Hepatocytes
For ease-of-use and reliability we offer fresh rat and mouse hepatocytes in suspension. These cells are isolated and shipped the same day. Contact us for more information or to place an order!
Custom Hepatocytes
In addition to our standard products, we offer custom isolations for mouse and rat hepatocytes:
- Extensive list of strains (Male and Female)
- Hepatocytes from a client's knockout strain
- Isolation after in vivo dosing with a client's investigational agent
